Professional Profile:
Hello and thank you for getting this far - making the first steps towards finding a therapist is not always easy. I am the Principal Therapist for an NHS mental health service in east London and also offer private therapy sessions to individuals.
I trained to be a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) Therapist at the Institute of Psychiatry in 2011 and having been using these skills to help people from all walks of life and backgrounds ever since. My intention is to meet all my clients with warmth and compassion and to support you to make the most significant changes that you can manage in the shortest amount of time. CBT aims to deliver results quickly by helping you to identify unhelpful thinking patterns and behaviours and adopt ones that serves you better.
I provide effective, evidence-based therapy to treat difficulties including; low mood, OCD, PTSD, generalised anxiety disorder, panic disorder, social anxiety, health anxiety, body image problems, phobias and low self-esteem. These difficulties may have arisen suddenly following a change in your life or they may be more long standing.
I am also trained in mindfulness and Interpersonal Therapy - especially helpful when the distress arises following a relationship breakdown, bereavement, conflict with others or work difficulties.
